Former RKCC members win CIS/CCA University Curling Championships!

front l-r: Jon Beuk (skip), Andrew Inouye (vice), Chadd Vandermade (second) and Scott Chadwick (lead)
back: Dick Henderson (coach)

The Queen's men's curling team, former members of RKCC, have been crowned Canadian Champions. They defeated the PEI rink 7-6 in the finals, and have earned the right to represent Canada at the Winter Universiade in 2011 ... which will take place in Erzurum, Turkey!!

Two issues:

  1. ... they curl in Turkey?

  2. Knowing Jon, and his challenge to wake up and get somewhere on time ... how bad is it going to be losing 7 time zones on the trip there?

Congratulations to the Queen's Men ... Good Curling next year!!

  1. I like to think of it as gaining 17 hours. That's a lot of sleeping in. Can't wait.
