Congratulations to the Tournament of Hearts Regional Winners ...

This past weekend, RKCC was proud to host the Regional playdowns for the Tournament of Heart competition. The ladies managed to put on quite a show ... whittling 16 teams of Ontario's best female curlers down to 2 provincial spots made for a very entertaining weekend!

Thanks to our Head Ice Tech, Rod Leeder, and assistant, Terry Barker, for their hard work - the competitors voiced their appreciation for the excellent ice conditions!

In the end, past Provincial Champion, Jenn Hanna and her rink, deservedly captured the A side berth, and Lisa Farnell led her team to a hard fought B side win. Congratulations to both these teams for their consistent play and Good Curling at the Ontario finals!

Afterthought ... thanks to the local media for covering the event, on TV and in print. The Royal Kingston Curling Club is always happy to showcase our facility, and our members can't help but be warm and receptive when hosting guests ... it runs deep in our curling veins!

See everyone for the ParaSport Winter Games in January, when RKCC will be the host club for the curling competition. All of Kingston will be welcome to come out and watch the athletes compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze ... check back to our site for schedules and draws in the near future!
