With the start of the season, comes the start of our recycling initiative at RKCC.
REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE
Receptacles for metals, plastics and paper, can be found in two convenient locations:
Outside of the entrance to the kitchen, where Ella Brisson is pictured already pitching in.
Across from the locker rooms, near the section boards.
While not very fancy, these containers will allow us to collect recyclable material that has been, until now, disposed of in our regular garbage pickup. Separate containers are labelled for metal, plastic and paper.
Plastic drinking glasses are without a doubt our number one recyclable item. To make the collection of these easier, we are rinsing and stacking them in the bar sink until the end of the day. This way, they will take up less room and transfer more easily to the collection bins.
Gerry is only happy when we are recycling efficiently ... let's put a big smile on his face!
